InDesign Tutorial – Creating an Interactive Rollover Button
Today’s InDesign Tutorial
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I wanted to share a quick tutorial with you featuring Adobe InDesign. Until now my main focus has been on Photoshop and Illustrator but I thought I would take this opportunity to do a little demo and show off some of the great features InDesign has to offer. For those unfamiliar with InDesign it is a very powerful layout program offered in Adobe’s Creative Suite. Although many of the features in InDesign are also available in Illustrator, InDesign has much more to offer when it comes to layout and design. The best part about InDesign, as you’ll see in this tutorial is that those features are not just limited to print. By using the PDF output InDesign allows users to take full advantage of the interactivity supported in Adobe Acrobat. In this video I’ll demonstrate how to build a button with rollover and linked capabilities.
Learning to include and offer live links in PDF files has allowed me to make a very dramatic shift to the way I present material to my clients. Using InDesign to offer a visually pleasing design and layout has made the difference between amateur and professional grade presentations. Being able to offer clients a more professional experience is something they not only enjoy but have come to expect. If you’d like to bring your layout and design up to the next level I would highly recommend looking into InDesign. It is an amazing program with some very powerful features including the rollover button demonstrated in this InDesign tutorial. I will be offering more on InDesign in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for my upcoming class on how to build an interactive portfolio using live links and video.
